At the same time, the metro service between Noapara-Airport may start on the same day. That is, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may inaugurate the three metro routes when he comes to the city next week. According to the Railway Board, it is not yet final whether Sealdah or Esplanade will be the venue for the inauguration ceremony. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Railway Board came to the city on Tuesday. He inspected the final preparations of the three projects awaiting inauguration. He rode the metro on Howrah-Sealdah, Beleghata-Ruby, Noapara-Airport and Esplanade-Noapara.

According to the Metro, the Chairman of the Railway Board is happy with the preparations. After inspecting the work of the four projects, he will submit a report to the Railway Ministry. Then the final approval for the inauguration will come from the Prime Minister's office. The section of the New Garia-Airport Metro Corridor (via Rajarhat) from Ruby to Beleghata has been ready for a long time. CRS approval has also been obtained for a long time. But it is not being launched. This time, there is news that that section will also be launched. The total number of metro stations from Hemant Mukherjee (Ruby) to Beleghata is five (including Ruby and Beleghata). The first metro station after Ruby is VIP Bazar. Then comes Ritwik Ghatak, then Varun Sengupta, which is located in the Science City area. Beleghata Metro station will come after Science City. Meanwhile, there are five stations on the New Garia to Ruby route. They are - Kabi Subhash (New Garia), Satyajit Ray (SRFTI adjacent area), Jyotirindra Nandi (Ajaynagar area), Kabi Sukanta (Kalikapur) and Hemant Mukherjee (Ruby). It is expected that the number of passengers on this line will increase a lot once the route from New Garia to Beleghata is launched. However, no final word has been given by the Metro about the inauguration yet. Preparations are being made from all sides. The inauguration time will be fixed once the final approval is received from the Prime Minister's Office.
