The Shepherd And The Tiger/ Moral Short Story; Nobody believes a liar

The Shepherd And The Tiger

Once upon a time there lived a shepherd boy. The  shepherd boy used to graze the field with some cows. One day during  gazing a naughty intellect came into his mind.  He suddenly shouted, ‘Tiger!  Tiger!  Tiger! '

Hearing his screams, people from the surrounding villages all came running.  Coming there they saw there was no tiger and nothing and the shepherd was gazing the field with his cows. The naughty shepherd laughed at the villagers.  The villagers angrily scolded the shepherd and left the place.

The same story repeated again a few days later;  The shepherd suddenly shouted again, ‘Tiger!  Tiger!  Tiger! '

Hearing his screams, people from the surrounding villages again came running with all their sticks.  .  Coming there they saw again  there was no tiger and nothing and the shepherd was gazing the field with his cows as same as before!  And the naughty shepherd laughed loudly at them. This time the villagers got too much angry  and scolded the boy. The villagers realised that the boy was doing this as a funny game. And they decided not to come next time.

A few days later, A tiger really came and jumped on his cows.  This time the shepherd again shouted— ‘Tiger!  Tiger!  Tiger! '

But this time no villagers came  because they thought not real like before. The boy is making fun.

The tiger then ate the shepherd first and then a cow and left.

Moral: A liar is punished in the long time.
