How Are The Biriany Lovers In The Lock Down; What Are They Thinking
Self, 9th May2020: We have all been under house arrest for a long time in this lockdown. At this time we are already missing many favourite things in our daily life. Fuchka, Paparichat, Momo are almost everyone's favorite foods, but all of these things that don't go away without a name that is nothing but our favorite "biryani". What! is you mouth not watering?

Although biryani is mainly dish of Muslims, but I don't think there is anyone who doesn't like to eat this! The relationship between Bengali and Biryani is as sweet as with fish and Rice. It is more or less available all over India, but Kolkata biryani is a bit more special. It is not just made with rice, potatoes, meat and some spices, it is associated with Bengali emotions.

Biryani is available everywhere from sidewalks to 5 star hotels and same lovable at everywhere. For those who have not tasted Kolkata biryani yet, I must tell you not to be exception without having it, especially Dada Baudi's Biryani from Barrackpore, Simla Biryani, Arsalan etc but it is a unique feeling to eat biryani standing with beloved on the pavement.

Biryani shops are always busy, especially during Durga Pujo-Eid or any festival. Being annoyed by the crowd, many people have to return quietly at that time. But today people are in the grip of an epidemic, there are no biryani shops and no common pictures at the corners of the streets. The romanticism of sharing a plate of biryani with your girlfriend while standing in front of your favorite uncle's shop outside the college has also disappeared today.
We are not talking about the big hotel owners, did we miss this biryani once and wondered if the man who used to give us pleasure with a handful of biryani on the sidewalk, who used to satisfy the taste of the mind, is getting two handfuls of rice today. Because behind that 1 red cloth wrapped in a hari biryani is the secret of survival. No, we may never have thought of them. we wish them all the best.

Anyway, people are always optimistic and I say with that hope, we will meet again at the end of the epidemic at the corner of that old alley, we will break the dam of separation and we will rise again in the wave of reunion. Again a new episode of romantisism will begin with a plate of biryani from that beloved uncle. Until then everyone must stay well, stay alert, stay healthy. "We shall overcome, some day"
