Hare and The Tortoise

There was a speedy hare that met a tortoise suddenly  and started to criticize him with a mocking laugh because of his slow pace and the hare started to brag about how fast he could run.Being tired of hearing these the tortoise once  challenged the hare to run a race.The hare casually accepted the challenge and they decided to run the race next morning.

   All the animals in the forest garthered to watch the race next morning. The race began.The overconfident hare started to run
very fast and went much ahead of the slow paced tortoise.To make the Tortoise feel very deeply how ridiculous it was for him to try a race with a Hare, he lay down beside the course to take a nap until the Tortoise should catch up. The hare was over confident of his victory and suddenly fall assleep. In the mean time the tortoise did not stop the run at all and crossed the hare. Soon  he became nearer to the finishing point.

The animals who were watching cheered so loudly for the Tortoise that woke up the Hare. The Hare stretched, yawned and began to run again very fast, but it was too late. Tortoise had already crossed the finish line and won the race.
